White Washing the Bedroom Set
Now this was a little risky being that I can't really replace it anytime soon if it turned out awful with our student loans we are working on paying off but I thought it was worth the risk. It actually turned out AWESOME! I just kept watching youtube videos of this technique and because it was relatively simple looking, I decided to go for it. It's called "white washing" or similar to "glazing," as well. Luckily my spouse was okay with it or actually didn't notice until I pointed it out. ;) Yes, that is the best!
I thought it just looked a little too orange-colored originally which is not very stylish right now. The white wash, which is simply strokes of watered down white paint, wiped off with a rag, and then going back and adding a few streaky brush strokes with a seperated dried-out brush, looks pretty artsy and cool. It didn't take that long either which would be a deal breaker for me. It took me working on it 2 separate times to get it all done, maybe 2-3 1/2 hours total, which isn't too bad at all. Woohoo!! Progress!!! :)
