Painted the Staircase Handrail

 I have wanted to do this forever but I was too worried it wouldn't turn out right or that it would be too hard so I put it off. Since, I am home so much now with everyone needing to social distance what could be a better time to try something out? Right? I watched a couple youtube videos and then got brave. 

It really wasn't that hard. I just took it in steps. I lightly sanded one day, cleaned and taped the next, and then when the a day was available I started painting the American Finish Gel Stain over the previous gold maple colored wood. I love the results. I have had several compliments that it makes a huge difference and I absolutely agree.
