Refurbishing the Silverware

I loved this "gold" ware but the black handles started chipping off after only a month of use. I researched different brands to replace it with but because the reviews said they had problems as well, I didn't want to waste anymore money on purchasing anything else. With those other brands the reviews said the gold faded through only a short time. 

The gold on my silverware was not fading a bit so I had the idea to just use steel wool pads and scrub off the black and have them be purely gold silverware. The result is that I LOVE it and do not miss the nasty black remains on the handles one bit. Yay! It required a little bit of elbow grease and I found five more I still need to clean off but it was worth it. 😊
